Break Over

I took some time off. It’s been nice but now I need to get back to coding. It is too easy to forget everything when you stay away for a while.

I managed to get back into my fitness routine (a little). I am currently experimenting with a new way of eating (Carnivore). This means I have even more time to sit and code. Eating just steak and eggs twice a day really does leave you plenty of time for other things!

I put up and took down a few Wagtail sites. When I hit an error and couldn’t fix it I decided to leave Wagtail alone for a while. The trouble with coding on your own is when you hit a snag that isn’t easy to fix. There isn’t anywhere to go for help. I do love having to fix bugs and work out what is wrong, but sometimes I end up beaten.

Back To WordPress

I set up a new blog on wordpress.com to help me promote my paperback notebooks. I love that I get a monthly income from this business, but it’s small. I just want to continue to write content and stories plus create new notebooks. There is nothing difficult about this at all, which is why I love it.

Because I have been away from WordPress for a few years I bought a couple of Udemy courses that are up to date and focus on being a developer. It will help me get used to the new WordPress.

It also includes information on creating themes and plugins. Now that I have coding/developer skills I feel more confident about creating them.

Back To AI

Along with WordPress my focus is back on AI and what I can build. I have a domain called inspirationalguidance.com, it will be 21 years old in 2025 – I would love to build something on it. Right now it just forwards to my notebook business but creating something personal development related would be great.

In the past it focused on confidence building and setting goals. I still find setting intentions is the best way for me to get anything done so I may set up a site using AI that will support people with setting and managing their intentions or habits.

Flippa.com

Rather than build something myself I am also looking into what’s available to buy. At least that way I can focus on managing it rather than creating it.

If I do buy something it has to be created using software I already know because I don’t think I want to have to learn something new. WordPress sites for sale is fairly popular on Flippa. Anything using Flask or Django would be great but I haven’t come across anything yet. Next.js is also a possibility although I still need to learn more.

Today I was looking at a Relationship Coaching directory for sale. Relationship Life Coaches sign up and pay a monthly fee. It has been created using WordPress and seemed like a good fit for my domain. Then I thought about whether I want to focus on a passive income model that includes having to find and manage business owners. As I have done that in the past I decided against it!!!!

For me, passive income is all about enjoying a business that sells to consumers. Like drop shipping or selling paperback notebooks using a print on demand system or selling downloadable art/ebooks/products.
